i don't mean to rub it in
but this is how we spend our mornings together.

breakfast at moe's

and lunch at larkburger
for the most part, jonathan and i both work nights for the restaurant industry. so that means our mornings can be really productive. meaning, hikes and greasy food in boulder.
dogs and snow

both dogs like to frolic in the snow. it's just that, when otto comes in from outside, he brings in a whole lot more of the snow than roman does.

jonny and michelle
before jonny and michelle headed on their six month trip around the world, they had a stint in colorado for a wedding they were shooting. lucky for us, we got to have them over for a meal at our home in denver before they headed to the more mountainous parts of colorado. unfortunately, we didn't get many photos of the event. but jonny did use my camera (a knock-off compared to his beautiful equipment) to take this photo of michelle and i enjoying wine and some internet-ing. (we had just finished some awesome cream cheese wontons made by my jonathan, as evidenced by the empty sushi plates in front of us!).
they didn't even live near us, but i am certainly going to miss them.
here is their itinerary in case you had any doubts of how bad-ass they are:

stove popped popcorn
the only way worth doing it.
popcorn from the farmers market.
put olive oil in dutch oven. throw in about five kernels. turn on medium-high heat.
when the kernels start popping you know it's hot enough.
pour in about a 1/2 cup (more than enough for two people) along w generous pinch of salt.
allow to pop until there is at least 15 seconds in between poppings.
season w pepper and salt (no need to waste your nice sea salt, the regular stuff sticks better).
toss w nutritional yeast for that white cheddar flavor.
pop in a movie and enjoy!
